Below are the list of categories for the Women in Technology and Data awards.

This category is exclusively for third-party vendors (technology and service providers).

This category is exclusively for third-party vendors (technology and service providers).

Best company for diversity and inclusion (end-user)

This award will go to the firm that has sought to promote women where appropriate and remediate the historic gender imbalance across the capital markets. 

There will be two winners of this category - one for Vendors and one for End-users.

Rising star (vendor)

This award will go to a woman working in technology or data who has already had an impact of her organisation even though she isn't yet in a senior managerial position.

There will be two winners of this category - one for Vendors and one for End-users.

This award will go to a woman working in technology or data who has already had an impact of her organisation even though she isn't yet in a senior managerial position.

Engineer/programmer of the year

This award will go to a programmer who has had a material impact on her constituents through the software she has developed and delivered for them.

Data science professional of the year

This award will go to a woman who has shown leadership/expertise in the field of data science through managing large data sets, interrogating that data, and deriving value from it through advanced analytics.

Reference data professional of the year

This award will go to a woman who has shown initiative, innovation and leadership in realm of reference data.

Market data professional of the year

This award will go to the woman who has shown initiative, innovation and leadership in realm of market data.

Wellness/work-life balance award (end-user)

Open to all buy-side and sell-side firms, the recipient of this award needs to have shown support for her colleagues during a difficult year and initiatives that benefited them by way of engendering a healthy work-life balance and a happy, productive work environment.

Above and beyond award (vendor)

Open to all third-party technology vendors, the recipient of this award needs to have shown commitment to the business and her colleagues over and above what was expected of her. Entries should detail what she did during the past 12 months (January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024) and the direct benefits of her actions to the business and her colleagues.

EDM professional of the year

This award will go to a woman who has worked with and addressed data management issues across her organisation, and by so doing has delivered value and brought about change across the business. 

Vendor professional of the year

This award will go to a woman from the third-party technology vendor community who has shown innovation and outstanding service to her firm's capital markets clients.

Support professional of the year (vendor)

This award will go to a woman who has been particularly instrumental in supporting her team leader or CIO. 

There will be two winners of this category - one for Vendors and one for End-users.

This award will go to a woman who has been particularly instrumental in supporting her team leader or CIO.

Trade execution professional of the year

This award will go to a woman from a buy-side or sell-side firm's front office who has excelled in the realm of trade executions.

Legal/compliance professional of the year

This award will go to a woman working in a capital markets firm's compliance department who has been particularly influential in ensuring that it complies with all its compliance mandates.

Risk professional of the year

This award will go to a woman who has shown innovation and leadership in the market, credit or operational risk realms.

Gender equality / diversity professional of the year (vendor)

This award will go to the person who has made a significant effort to improve equality / diversity in their organization.

There will be two winners of this category - one for Vendors and one for End-users.

This award will go to the person who has made a significant effort to improve equality / diversity in their organization.

This award will go to a woman who has shown outstanding levels of services and value delivery through her work at a consultancy advising capital markets firms on their technology/data strategies. 

Startup professional of the year

This award will go to a woman who has been instrumental in the successful establishment of a fintech firm founded after January 2023 (i.e. two years old or younger). 

Technology innovator of the year (vendor)

This award will go to a woman who has shown outstanding innovation in the field of technology within her firm.

There will be two winners of this category - one for Vendors and one for End-users.

This award will go to a woman who has shown outstanding innovation in the field of technology within her firm.

There will be two winners of this category - one for Vendors and one for End-users.

Technology leader of the year (vendor)

This award will go to a woman in a CIO or CTO role who has shown innovation and outstanding leadership through the delivery of software and technology throughout her organisation.

There will be two winners of this category - one for Vendors and one for End-users.
