David Reilly

Chief information officer, global banking & markets enterprise

Bank of America

David Reilly is the chief information officer for Global Banking & Markets and the Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology executive at Bank of America. He leads a global team of employees who provide end-to-end technology solutions and support for the Global Banking and Global Markets businesses as well as the Enterprise Risk & Finance organizations. He serves as a member of the Global Technology & Operations senior leadership team, reporting to Cathy Bessant, chief operations and technology officer.
Most recently, Reilly was Bank of America’s chief technology officer, responsible for the company’s technology networks, product engineering, desktop and electronic communications, application hosting and data storage, operations management, support services and data centers. His team also managed the information security and vendor management strategy, policy and programs across the company’s technology footprint.
Reilly joined Bank of America in 2011 as chief technology officer for Global Wealth & Investment Management, responsible for strategy, architecture, design and build, operations, engagement and project delivery of the technology infrastructure that supports the business. He also led the bank’s Shared Technology Infrastructure organization where he was accountable for designing, building and operating enterprise technology infrastructure.
Reilly has more than 25 years of technology experience in high-level infrastructure roles within the financial services industry, including chief information officer for enterprise infrastructure at Morgan Stanley, a leadership role in technology infrastructure services at Credit Suisse, managing director of global technology operations at Goldman Sachs and director of enterprise technology services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Merrill Lynch.
He began his career in the United Kingdom at Land Securities, within Operations. He has been named one of Computerworld’s “Premier 100” IT Leaders. Reilly serves as board chair of NPower, a U.S. nonprofit organization that provides training in digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities.

Vijay Kasarabada

Vijay Kasarabada is the Global Head of Technology for Lazard Asset Management. He began working in the investment field in 2000. Prior to joining Lazard in 2017, Vijay was a Managing Director within BlackRock's Aladdin product group helping build several aspects of their technology to support the wider investment management process from Front through Middle through the Back Office. Prior to that Vijay worked at large institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs (where he started his technology career on Wall Street), helping architect solutions in the Capital Markets Sales and Trading domain, along with a core expertise in the Investment Management domain. Vijay’s responsibilities focus on all aspects of technology that support Lazard Asset Management’s global business operations. Vijay has an MBA in Finance and Business Strategy from Rutgers and a B.S. in Computer Science from Rohilkhand University.

Kim joined BMO in August 2021 from RBC where she was the Global Head of the Client, Banking & Digital Channels Technology group across Capital Markets.  Kim developed and implemented a comprehensive client data strategy adopted by Capital Markets, sunset legacy applications and united the global salesforce under a single CRM instance.  Collecting and connecting client touchpoints with external data sets allowed her team to proactively source opportunities and recommendations using advanced AI and machine learning to deepen client relationships and increase wallet share.  Kim held multiple roles at RBC over 15 years supporting the business in various capacities from running Global Fixed Income Production Services to Head of Fixed Income Sales and Credit Trading technology.

Prior to joining RBC, Kim ran Front Office technology at Mizuho as well as the API Connectivity Development team at ICAP and was part of the initial launch of BrokerTec. She has also held multiple positions across the street with Kidder Peabody, Deutsche Bank and Chase Securities. Kim received a BA from Stockton University in accounting.

Dessa Glasser

Dessa advises clients in the areas of data, analytics and risk. She has a 25-year proven track record successfully designing and executing global innovative solutions, often influencing a Board or Operating Committee. She built the Chief Data Office for JPMorgan Chase Asset Management, serving as the first CDO, and initiated the Capital Stress Testing Analytics team for JPMorgan Chase. She was Deputy Director of the Office of Financial Research (US Treasury), responsible for data, international standards (including the Legal Entity Identifier, LEI), analytics and technology and building the Office. As the first CRO, she launched the Chief Risk Office for Bunge. Dessa has held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, IBM and KPMG. She began her career teaching finance at Rutgers University. Dessa has a Ph. D. and MA in Economics from Fordham University and serves on the advisory Board of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She has a BS in Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was co-president of the Women's Bond Club of NY.

Michael Beal

Sarah Biller is very active in the FinTech community. Sarah is the co-Founder of the FinTech Sandbox and currently sits on its Board of Directors. She is also an Entrepreneur, Advisor, Investor and teaches a graduate level course on the evolution of Financial Technology at Brandeis University.

Sarah was also most recently the Head of Innovation Ventures at State Street Bank's Global Exchange division and its Chief Operating Officer for Innovation. Prior to joining State Street, Sarah has been a Principal in the launch of several successful venture-backed start-ups in the FinTech and Life Sciences sectors. Most recently she was the Co-Founder and President of Capital Market Exchange (CMX), a venture-backed predictive analytics platform utilizing investor sentiment to help bond investors anticipate near-term changes in spreads.

Sarah has also held roles at Fidelity Investments; worked on MCI's corporate venture team; and launched and led research divisions for Fortune 500 CFO's and treasurers at the Corporate Executive Board. Ms. Biller studied Finance at West Virginia University and George Washington University.

Andrew Foster

Andrew Foster, C.F.A., is the Chief Data Officer at M&T Bank. As CDO, he leads data strategy and governance, as well as the development and delivery of platforms, tools, and methodologies to enable M&T to harness the full potential of its data to continuously meet the evolving needs of customers and communities. He also partners with multidisciplinary teams across the organization to drive data-driven outcomes to support customer experience, business resilience, performance optimization, and growth.   

Foster brings over 20 years of experience leading data, automation, and innovation organizations in the financial services industry, most recently as Deputy Chief Data Officer (Americas) and Head of Data Governance at Deutsche Bank in New York. He previously held leadership positions at Europe Arab Bank (EAB) PLC and Arab Bank PLC, both in London.  

Committed to pursuing greater inclusion in the fields of data and technology, Foster has consistently advocated for women in data management, serving in volunteer leadership and outreach roles for Women Data Professionals, the gender diversity arm of EDM Council, a leading global trade association for data and analytics management.  

A native of South Africa whose career has taken him through London and New York, Foster works at M&T Bank’s Tech Hub at Seneca One in Buffalo, New York. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Science, specializing in Finance, from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and has participated in executive leadership programs through the London Business School. 

William Murphy

Bill Murphy is a Managing Partner at Cresting Wave, a technology advisory firm bringing innovative technologies to the enterprise technology community.   Bill is also a board member at Accurics and investor/advisor to a broad portfolio of early-stage companies.

Bill was a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Technology Officer at Blackstone, leading the Blackstone Innovations team from 2011-2020, responsible for the firm's use of technology along with a strategic technology investment portfolio. Mr. Murphy also served on many boards of directors of our investments along with the board of the Blackstone Charitable foundation.

From 1999 - 2011, Bill was founding Chief Technology Officer for Capital IQ where he was responsible for overseeing all product design, development, infrastructure, and technology support and was involved with all operations of the business. Before Capital IQ, Mr. Murphy led teams at Sapient, delivering solutions for large clients primarily in financial services. Mr. Murphy received a BSE in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, Class of ‘96.

Kevin M. Welch

Kevin Welch is responsible for the Workforce Transformation & Shared Services disciplines within BBH Investor Services.  In this role, Mr. Welch manages a process engineering team that identifies and implements business and technology solutions with the goal of constantly improving the services BBH offers to our clients.   He is also responsible for developing and executing our globalization plan, operational strategy and relationships with outsourcing partners.

Sri Malladi

Sri Malladi is a Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in the Data and Statistics Group. Sri's expertise is to help organizations grow and manage change, while leveraging technology as a key enabler.

Most recently, at the NY Fed, Sri has helped the organization to increase capacity, reduce risk and improve data quality. He established KPIs to improve operations and data quality, and his team is leveraging automation to reduce manual effort, improve engagement with financial institutions, and decrease operational risk.

Eric Karpman

Eric Karpman, a well-known subject matter expert in trading technology, execution management and trade lifecycle optimization.

Eric Karpman has worked during the last 25 years for a number of global financial institutions in finding and implementing strategies to maximize return. During his tenure on Wall Street, he was involved with the equity trading sell-side at Deutsche Bank, Renaissance Capital, Fuji Bank/Mizuho and Bloomberg, on the fixed income trading sell-side at JJKennyDrake trading unit of Standard & Poor's and Bear Stearns, worked on improvements to the matching engine of NYSE and Arca as well as with the buy-side technologies at UBS, Barclays, BNY Mellon Asset Management and a number of hedge funds and asset management companies. Throughout his career, Eric and his teams have successfully implemented electronic trading systems with direct interfaces to the Street as well as the algorithmic, program and direct market access trading platforms for instant market analysis, decision-making capabilities and straight-through processing. In 2004, Eric was elected a Co-Chair of the FIX Protocol Technical Committee where he was involved with the future direction and the strategy of this messaging standard developed specifically for the real-time electronic exchange of securities transactions. In addition, Eric has written a number of books and articles describing multi-asset class trading systems he has built that cover equities, fixed income, derivatives and FX products for successful trading strategies’ implementation.  Eric is a graduate of the M.B.A. program in Finance at the New York University Stern School of Business. He is also a holder of NASD Series 7, 55 and 63 Licenses.

Prior to joining S&P Global Market Intelligence in early 2008, Mr. Patton was a Sales Executive at the Bank of New York, where he sold independent research to institutional clients across the Northeast and Southwest regions.  Mr. Patton began his financial career at Thomson Financial.  During his stay, he held various sales roles including managing large institutional accounts throughout North America.

Mr. Patton holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Arvind Joshi is the Head of Data Governance at Rockefeller Capital Management. 

Arvind Joshi was part of U.S. Finance at Scotiabank. His team was responsible for the execution of day-to-day data management activities, remediation of data quality issues, and implementation of change management processes. He worked closely with colleagues at the U.S. Data Office to establish and maintain strong data management capabilities, such as data quality measurement and monitoring, data management, and data lineage. He served as the Data Governance Officer for U.S. Finance, and as such he is the primary point of contact for all U.S. Finance data matters. In his time at Scotiabank, he championed data as an strategic asset.

Before joining Scotiabank, he was an advisor at Deloitte. At Credit Suisse Holdings (USA) Inc., Arvind led the CCAR data governance initiative. At Morgan Stanley Arvind was responsible for defining, establishing and implementing data governance/data quality program for Basel and CCAR compliance. Arvind also represented the CFO office in establishing the "Enterprise Data Office” for regulatory compliance (DFAST/CCAR and BASEL).
