At J&J, she led the vision and execution for a first-of-a-kind global digital data platform designed to accelerate the development of innovative customer experiences & business opportunities that shape and create competitive advantages for the business. As a Global Head, SVP of DCE & Insights with Roche, she led transformational enterprise digital and data strategy, technology platforms, change management, and operations.

Elena is also an accomplished thought leader. She has over 40 published articles and she is a product board member with leading digital and data providers and a visiting adjunct professor with the first CDO class offering in the world. Elena mentors several startups with a focus on ML/AI applications and decision sciences.

Prosasty is the former Chief Data Officer for SVB’s Commercial bank. As the Managing Director and Chief Data Officer, Prosasty oversaw the Bank’s largest revenue generating line of business, data strategy, data operations, governance, and architecture for the bank, ensuring that producer data is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant for regulatory needs. 

Previously, Prosasty was the Global Head of Data Governance and Policy at Citi, where she led the development and implementation of the data governance framework, standards, and processes across the enterprise. 

Prosasty also held the role of Chief Data Officer for Global Banking and Markets at HSBC, where she was responsible for data quality operations, drive customer value through AI/ML techniques.

Prosasty also serves as an active Board Member for the EDM Council WDP, a network of data executives with over 250 member firms and 10,000 professionals. Prosasty leads Woman Data Professionals forum to promote DEI and raise global awareness for women in data through spotlights and rising star programs. 

Prosasty has also been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Global Data Power Women” by CDO Magazine for three consecutive years. Prosasty has a MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Subbiah Subramanian is a Business and Technology Executive with over 20 years of experience in the Financial Services sector. Known for his extensive expertise in data and analytics, he brings a strategic, execution-focused approach to his roles. Subbiah has a proven track record of consistently meeting specialized customer needs, catalyzing business performance and growth, and establishing himself as a transformative force in the industry.

During his tenure at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) ,he stood up a data office to oversee the strategy, execution, stewardship, and ongoing business functions related to company-wide data across all business units. He established a robust data strategy framework on Cloud-Native technology . This was foundational in DTCC’s initiative to use Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technology.

In his role as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Alpha Data Services/Data GX at State Street Corporation, Subbiah was instrumental in establishing and managing a business division dedicated to offering outsourced data management services and distributing State Street data to worldwide clients.  Subbiah's experience extends to BNY Mellon, where he was Global Head of Managed Data Services leading a multi-disciplinary team, supervised front-office services for global clients, and established strategic vision for service offerings.

He holds a Master of Science in Investment Management from Boston University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Madras. He has completed finance and control coursework at Harvard University Extension School.

Linda F. Powell is the Enterprise head of data governance and deputy chief data officer at Bank of NY Mellon. She has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry including commercial banking, banking supervision, and supporting economic research. She spent most of her career with the Federal Reserve System. She was also the Chief data officer at the Treasury Department’s office of financial research and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. In 2018 she joined Citibank as the Global head of data governance, data reporting, and end user computing and joined Bank of NY Mellon in 2021. She has published several papers on the topics of data standards, metadata, and data strategy. She has a B.A. in economics from Rutgers University and an M.S. in quantitative finance from George Washington University.

Miquel Noguer i Alonso is a seasoned financial professional and academic with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He is the Founder of the Artificial Intelligence Finance Institute and Head of development at Global AI. His career includes roles such as Executive director at UBS AG and CIO for Andbank. He has served on the European Investment Committee UBS for a decade. He is on the advisory board of FDP Institute and CFA NY.

Mr. Noguer is also an academic, teaching AI, big data, and fintech at institutions like NYU Courant Institute, NYU Tandon, Columbia University, and ESADE. He pioneered the first fintech and big data course at the London Business School in 2017. He is the author of 10 papers on AI.

He holds an MBA and a bachelor's degree in business administration from ESADE, a PhD in quantitative finance from UNED, and other prestigious certifications. His research interests span asset allocation, machine learning, algorithmic trading, and fintech.

David Car serves as Co-chief technology officer where he jointly leads the company's software, data, and IT activities. He provides architectural direction throughout the development group, develops key software components, and helps departments use technology effectively. David started his career at the US Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio as a Senior Aerospace Engineer where he spent many years developing high performance parallel computing solutions to solve large-scale computational fluid dynamics problems. After 18 years working for the Air Force, he started as a Senior software engineer and later became Post analysis team lead at CD-Adapco, a state-of-the-art computational modeling software company, in New Hampshire. David moved to Florida and began working for VIM as a Senior developer and later as Lead software architect. David received his bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from Ohio State University, master's in aerospace engineering from MIT, and completed at coursework and qualifying exams for a PhD in aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnati, but later leaving the PhD program to pursue his passion for software development.

Howard Haney serves as Co-chief technology officer where he jointly leads Voloridge's Engineering groups and leads Noloridge's Product group. He has several years of trading experience covering global equities and futures and in-depth knowledge of technical trading infrastructure. Before coming to Voloridge, he helped develop and support Nuance's industry-leading natural language processing solutions. Howard initially joined Voloridge as a Trader and drove significant technological transformation on the trading desk, which led to subsequent poles of Senior trader and Manager of trading operations infrastructure. Howard enjoys being at the intersection of technology and the financial markets and is an active contributor to the Python community. Howard graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in business and minor in international business and finance.

Mukundan (Ren) Rengaswamy is a highly accomplished Leader with over 20 years of IT experience supporting various Lines of Businesses specializing in Data Architecture, Analytics, Governance, Data Warehousing, Application Development, and Business Intelligence. As a Technology Leader in the financial services industry, he has led several innovative and cutting-edge analytics solutions that deliver growth and efficiency to the enterprise. He believes in continuous improvement and builds processes that leverages emerging technologies to deliver on multi-million-dollar strategic data initiatives. 

Mukundan has a track record of building and leading large world-class teams, shaping collaborative partnerships and driving performance.

Mukundan has held various leadership positions in Data Management at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, MUFG and is currently heading the Data Engineering, Architecture, and Innovation organization at Webster Bank. He has been recognized as one of the Top 100 influential AI & Analytics leaders in the country by AIM research organization.

He holds a Masters in Electrical Engg from Indian Institute of Science and an MBA in strategic management & E-commerce from Rutger university.

Risë Zaiser is an executive thought leader with 30+ years of experience in data- and IT-enabled business. She has helped banking and financial services organizations handle data in alignment with ever-changing regulatory requirements, solidify their position in the global marketplace, and operate in fast-paced environments where missing an opportunity means losing vast sums of money as well as credibility.

She has managed many complex, data-intensive projects including:

• Drove rollout of centralized data function of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, assuming responsibility for the definition and execution of the data and analytics strategies for all US offices.
• Ensured 100% compliance of data governance program across six subsidiaries.
• Conceived and won CIO support for a special program to prioritize the needs of front-office revenue producers.
• Designed, launched, managed, integrated, and improved the Know Your Customer Application, earning promotions and additional accountability for Global Compliance IT.
• Served as the first dedicated QA manager for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, systemizing development, testing, and production and expanding a local CIF application to the entire international banking organization.

Andrea Phelan is the Head of master and reference data at BNY Mellon, where she is responsible for product management for multiple data platforms including client, account, product/service, and static reference data. Her career in financial services technology spans more than 25 years, always with a focus on engineering and data practices. Immediately before BNY Mellon, Andrea was at Deutsche Bank, where she led customer data innovation programs supporting KYC and the end-to-end client data lifecycle. Since joining BNY Mellon in 2019, Andrea has been focused on the master and reference data program within enterprise data management, driving improved capabilities and data quality into the foundational data of the bank.  

Dessa Glasser is FRG’s Principal for the data strategy advisory and analytics practice, providing innovative solutions to clients in data, risk, and analytics. She is an independent board member of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc; and chair of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF).

Before joining FRG, Dessa was the Managing director at JPMorgan Chase, responsible for the Capital Stress Testing Analytics and was the Chief data officer for Asset and Wealth Management. As Deputy director of the Office of Financial Research, she received the US Treasury Exceptional Service Award. Dessa was the Chief risk officer for Bunge and held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, IBM, and KPMG.

Dessa has a B.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from Fordham University, where she is on the advisory board for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. 

Mike is a co-founder of the EDM Council and served as the first chairman and active board member since inception in 2005. Mike joined in 2015 as a senior advisor and served as the COO from 2020 to 2023, to lead industry engagement strategy, new member services and council operations.

Previously, Mike was the CEO of GoldenSource and held key executive roles at CheckFree (Fiserv), D&B and Oracle.

Dr. Murali Nandigama is a senior technology leader with extensive experience in public cloud transformation in financial institutions. Dr. Murali has previously worked for Barclays, Goldman Sachs, PayPal, Yahoo!, Oracle & Sun Microsystems for around 25 years before his current role as global head of Site Reliability Engineering in JPMorgan Chase Wealth Management. Dr. Murali holds a PhD in physics and has been awarded with multiple patents and published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals. Murali also holds multiple certifications in AWS and FinOps and keeps keen interest in participating in industry conferences to learn and collaborate with fellow practitioners.

Ellen Gentile has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector and has worked in various capacities for companies such as Cowan & Company, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Banc of America Securities and Pershing, LLC. 

Prior to managing SMBC's data quality, Ellen championed the use of qualified data as a core enterprise resource supporting decision makers. To best deliver and monitor quality of service and information, Ellen established and set enterprise standards through operational quality scorecard products at Pershing, LLC. The quality based products she managed provided the much needed insight and transparency clients require to manage and grow their businesses.

Marcel Chambers is the Global head of sales for Chartis Research. Marcel supports Chartis as it expands its presence in the market for expert research and drives regional growth in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Marcel is an established business leader with 20 years’ experience in advisory, capital markets research, market analysis, go-to-market strategy for derivatives, ETFs and fixed income products, and financial services technology from front to back-end. Before this role, he was Head of APAC sales for Infopro Digital, based in Hong Kong. During his 12-year tenure with Infopro Digital, Marcel held the positions of Head of client development and sales, Asia, and Commercial director for the Asia Risk, FX Markets, WatersTechnology and Risk.net brands in the Asia-Pacific region. As Global head of sales, he oversees the Chartis EMEA and America’s sales teams.

Mark is the Global Brand Director at Chartis and has over 30 years’ experience in global capital markets, consulting and associated technologies focusing on risk management, front and middle office platforms and data management. Prior to Chartis he has held executive roles in large global financial institutions, consultancies and FinTechs in various positions including platform and software development, solution architecture, large scale program management, vendor selection and implementation and strategy development and execution. With a background covering front, middle and back office Mark brings a holistic view of business, technology and regulatory issues across the enterprise and how these issues can be addressed by leveraging appropriate technology solutions.  His primary focus has been risk technology and includes leading the global teams for risk technology at RBS Capital Markets and AIG, Middle office and front office technology teams at Barclays Capital, extensive consulting experience with major consulting organizations including EY and Deloitte together with extensive vendor experience including time at both Algorithmics and Misys (now Finastra). Mark has an MA from Oxford University and is Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Sunny Zhu refers to herself as the bridge between people and data. She has been engaged in a broad range of analytical works across diversified industries to empower companies to turn data insights into solid business decisions. Working for a decade in data analytics, she believes that data science is for all and has a huge benefit to individuals, teams, and companies of all sizes. She is passionate about translating complicated data into clear business strategies and execution plans. She is currently part of the ESG family at Indeed and exploring tech strategies to solve various interesting ESG data problems. She advocates for women in tech and empowering through mentorships by being an active member of Women Techmakers Ambassador and achieved coaching certification from BetterUp, along with POINT Speaker Certification. She is currently engaged in pursuing a specialized certification in leadership and management from Harvard Business School.

Jesse Fu is the Senior Director of Automation and Business Transformation at SiriusXM. At SiriusXM, Jesse established the Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) and leads the citizen-led automation program within the finance function. Initially focused within the controller group, this program has since been expanded to the broader CFO organization. The Automation CoE at SiriusXM serves as an example of how citizen-led automation can contribute to operational efficiency, particularly in areas requiring stringent financial controls and reporting.

Before joining SiriusXM, Jesse spent over six years at PwC and nearly nine years at KPMG, providing consulting services in the financial services industry. His work as a consultant primarily focused on delivering solutions for operational improvement and risk reduction, particularly in the private equity and hedge fund sectors. These experiences have endowed him with a nuanced understanding of the complexities organizations face in optimizing operations, especially in highly regulated environments.

In any industry, operational efficiency can significantly influence profitability and market competitiveness. Jesse's insights into process improvement and automation offer a balanced perspective that combines strategic vision with the practicalities of day-to-day business operations.

In addition to his corporate roles, Jesse is also a reservist currently serving in the 75th Innovation Command of the United States Army.

Max is editor-at-large at WatersTechnology.  Max is editor of Inside Market Data and Inside Data Management. Max joined then-Risk Waters Group (prior to its acquisition by Incisive Media) in 2000, and has worked as a reporter on Risk Magazine, FX Week, Trading Technology Week (now Sell-Side Technology) and Buy-Side IT (now Buy-Side Technology), before joining IMD as European reporter in 2003. He moved to New York as US reporter in 2005, and became editor in 2006.

Max lives in Astoria, New York with his wife and twin girls, and enjoys playing rock music, wine tastings, and market data.

Russell is a former managing director who was responsible for the strategic oversight and implementation of Great Lake Advisors' operations, performance, risk, and information technology systems. He joined Rothschild & Co Asset Management US in 2016 and the industry in 2002. Previously, Russell worked at Times Square Capital Management overseeing operations and performance, and, before that, at EMS Capital, L.P., Hawkstone Capital, Bear Stearns Asset Management, Elliot Management and Pricewaterhouse Coopers where he audited clients in the asset management industry. Russell has a BS in Accounting, Finance, and Operations Management from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.

Subbaiah Maneyapanda is a seasoned professional at Northern Trust, where he serves as the Head of data management enablement. In his capacity, he reports directly to the Chief data and analytics officer (CDAO). Subbaiah's dedicated team is tasked with a multifaceted mission that encompasses the careful selection, seamless implementation, comprehensive training, and unwavering support of all Enterprise Data Management Tools within the organization.

Prati is the global head of application support, production engineering and quality engineering and Wholesale Payments Technology functions for the TD Securities and TBSM. She is responsible for managing the technology operations and leading the engineering driven transformation, and payments modernization at TDS and TBSM.

Before joining TD Securities, Prati most recently held positions at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), New York as their Global head of transformative engineering, enterprise products, and platform engineering. She has also held the role of Sr. director of AI, SRE, and cloud services for the Royal Bank of Canada, NY and was Vice president IT at Mizuho Securities, NY.

Prati has a proven track record of building high-performing teams by leveraging automation and business process engineering, and large-scale cloud transformations. She has also led several large-scale digital transformations through legacy modernization, one of which was presented at the financial industry's digital transformation global virtual summit.

Prati has led various large-scale multi cloud and container migration, AI, SRE initiates and has delivered frictionless next-gen operations. She has led full-stack engineering and data science teams that have delivered the award-winning revenue generating products at other financial firms. She's currently leading the TD's payments modernization initiative.

Kris Devasabai is the New York-based editor-in-chief of Risk.net. Previously, he was bureau chief and US editor of Risk magazine. He manages the editorial team. Prior to joining Risk, Kris covered hedge funds, asset management, cross-border investing and law for several publications.

Kris holds a bachelor’s degree in law and government from the University of Manchester, and he completed his legal training at the Inns of Court School of Law in London. He was called to the bar of England and Wales in 2003.

Mark has over 25 years of senior executive experience in technology, operations and general management including start-ups, public and private entities.
