The Data Insights Spotlight took place May 17-20 2021 and united over 300 experts, practitioners, academics, and industry disruptors from across the globe to delve into key issues on data in the capital markets sector.  
 

Dr Adrian Pearce is the Group Chief Data Officer (GCDO) and acts as a Senior Advisor to the Group Chief Operating Officer with base in Zurich, Switzerland at the Credit Suisse Group AG headquarters. As GCDO, Adrian is focused on the architecture, governance, security and underlying quality of data within the bank. More recently Adrian has applied significant focus to the usage and analysis of existing Credit Suisse data to create business value for the organization. His advisory mandate is to improve the effectiveness of business processes and significant change programs globally across the Group. He is a member of the Group COO Management Committee. Before moving to Zurich, Adrian was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, based in New York. As Head of Global Markets Change he took responsibility for the definition and execution of the change portfolio for the GM division. He was a member of the Global Markets leadership team and the bank's Global Leadership Council. Before his assignments in the US, Adrian was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, based in London, where he joined the Credit Suisse Group in 2009. He acted as Global Head of Investment Banking Change for the IB division. Before Adrian served as Global Head of Strategic Risk Program, and prior to that as Global Head of Strategic Change and Operational Excellence. Prior to joining the Credit Suisse Group, Adrian held the position of Global Head of FID IT at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he worked for 13 years in a number of roles across Operations, Front Office and Technology. Before that he trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and spent several years working in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Adrian holds a PhD in solid state Physics from the University of Warwick, UK and the Institute Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, France, plus a first class honors degree in applied Physics from the University of Hull, UK.
